Second Annual Club Cookout and Treasure Hunt at Lake Rawlings

The 2000 dive club cookout was held on July 15 - 16 at Lake Rawlings Quarry and was greatly enjoyed by all the attendants. Mostly sunny weather (the rain stayed at

committee volunteers, there was plenty of food to go around.
With lunch provided on both Saturday and Sunday and a Saturday evening dinner, the grills never cooled off.
Hamburgers, hot dogs, salads, potato chips, chili, chocolate brownies, cake, cold soda pop, and, of course, bonfire marshmallows were just some of the menu items to enjoy.

There were many diving activities, such as navigation courses, lift bag exercises, diver rescue, and a night dive treasure hunt, to name a few. For each activity there were prize markers to locate and retrieve. Every marker had a prize associated with it, so everyone that retrieved a marker was a guaranteed winner! The weekend concluded with a Grand Prize drawing for a brand new regulator. The winners and prizes will be posted in next month's newsletter.
