DMAV Board of Directors update

New members for the Board of Directors of the DIVEMASTERS Association will be announced at our next meeting.

Members of the Board of Directors are responsible for ensuring that the  direction of the organization is in keeping with its charter and by-laws.

Officers of the DMAV are responsible for the day to day operation and decision making of the club.

Electronic Voting for Officers of the DMAV (reprinted)

As we did last year, this year the DMAV will continue with its Electronic Voting as an alternate method to cast your ballot for club officers.

After the nominations for club officers were accepted during our May meeting, voting ballots were mailed to all club members.  You may complete and return the paper ballot you receive by mail,  or you may cast your vote electronically on our web site at:

http://www.divealot.com

Click on the "Members" button and when the Club Members page loads, click on the Ballot Box to enter your vote.  Or enter the following web address directly in your browser:

http://www.divealot.com/Members/members.html

Once the voting ballot page has loaded, enter your name, email address, and Voter ID number listed on the paper ballot.  The Voter ID is a unique confidential number assigned to each club member for this election and must be entered on the ballot to enable your votes to be tallied.

Please note the Electronic voting ballot web page was be available for access on May 7  AFTER  the nominations were complete.  The web page will remain active until 5:00 p.m. on election night on June 1.

Paper ballots returned by mail to the DMAV must be received by May 31, or you may bring it to the June 1 meeting.

The DMAV Raffle Kitty is still growing!

Each club meeting now includes a raffle that club members may participate in. Raffle tickets cost $1 per ticket (or 3 tickets for $2). Half of the funds from the raffle are placed in the Raffle Kitty. The other half is used by the DMAV to help fund special club activities for all club members.

At the end of each meeting, a raffle ticket is drawn, and the lucky holder of that ticket stub wins $10.

In addition, the winner selects one card at random from a deck of standard playing cards. If they select the Queen of Hearts, they win all the monies in the Raffle Kitty and a wonderful complimentary 3 day / 2 night vacation of their choice from one of over 90 destinations.

If the Queen of Hearts is not drawn, the selected card is discarded from the deck . Both the deck and the Raffle Kitty are saved for next month's lucky winner.

Last month's lucky winner was Paul Schadow, but the Queen remained elusive.  The kitty is up to $544.00.  Make sure to attend all of the club meetings to stake your claim!
