Open Water SCUBA Diver Course

Course Description

The Open Water Scuba Diver Course is the first scuba diving certification, opening the door to a lifetime of adventures. Reserve your seat in our next Scuba Diver Class. A highly-trained Instructor will teach you how to scuba dive in a relaxed, supportive learning environment. Each class consists of 3 days of a 2-hour classroom session followed by a 2-hour Pool Session (typically held on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday). Once the Classroom / Pool / eLearning is satisfactorily completed, students progress to Open Water Dive Sessions for two consecutive days (4 dives total [2 dives per day]). Open Water Dive Sessions are typically held on a consecutive Saturday and Sunday. Student is responsible for lake fees. For those students who have not purchased their own scuba equipment for their open water dives, a regulator, buoyancy compensator, tanks, lead, and wetsuit may be rented from Underwater Adventures. Typical Schedule for Classroom/Pool Sessions: Friday 4 PM - 8 PM / Saturday and Sunday 10 AM - 3 PM Students must provide their own mask / fins (open heel) / snorkel / booties. Scuba quality personal gear is required. Please check with your Instructor prior to purchasing your personal gear. NAUI Textbook Package / eLearning is additional ($149.95) and must be completed prior to starting your Classroom / Pool Sessions. Learn about scuba diving principles and terminology, then learn basic scuba skills in a pool with a highly trained Instructor. When you're ready, make four dives in an open water environment (the ocean, a lake) with your instructor supporting you every step of the way. By the end of the course, you'll have the skills and knowledge to dive at home or abroad and be an ambassador for the underwater world.
